Group Chairman
Jonathan Pfeffer opened ‘Pfeffer & Co.’ in St Ann’s Square, Manchester in February 1970, establishing a well-respected legal firm that specialized in conveyancing and commercial property.
Graham Leigh
Senior Partner – Bury & Prestwich Practices
Graham Leigh joined GLP Solicitors in October 1981 and qualified as a solicitor in December 1981. Graham has responsibility for the general management of the GLP Solicitors firms
Neil Sugarman
Senior Solicitor and Consultant – Bury Practice
Neil Sugarman qualified as a Solicitor in 1981. Since that time he has practised almost exclusively in the field of personal injury litigation
Carol-Ann Duke
Partner – Prestwich Practice
Carol-Ann Duke qualified as a solicitor in December 1996. Originally from Cardiff, Carol-Ann relocated to the North West in 1997 and joined GLP as the Managing Solicitor of the Prestwich office in November 2006.
Terry Kelly
Partner – Prestwich & Bury Practices
Terry Kelly qualified as a solicitor in 1996 and has since then acted exclusively for claimants in personal injury cases. He has a varied caseload including road traffic accidents, accidents at work, tripping accidents and criminal injuries compensation claims.
Paul Wainwright
Partner – Bury Practice
Paul Wainwright joined GLP in 1988 and became a Partner in 1997. In addition, Paul provides a mentoring service to the University and is a Board member on the local radio station.

Anthony is a qualified solicitor with many years commercial experience creating and developing businesses in the transport, construction, and retail and catering industries.

Steven is a GLP Partner and an injury lawyer with more than 20 years’ experience handling all types of personal injury claims, including serious and catastrophic injury cases (spine, brain, serious orthopaedic) and fatal accidents.
Ruth Shaw
Partner – Prestwich Practice
Ruth is a Solicitor and Partner at GLP Prestwich (LLP) which is a Law Society Conveyancing Quality Scheme accredited. Ruth acts for all types of clients ranging from first time buyers to property developers, locally and nationally.
Heather Radcliffe
Associate & Senior Litigation Executive – Bury Practice
Having previously worked as a Senior Manager for Victim Support for 10 years and with an additional 14 years experience with GLP Solicitors, Heather brings a wealth of expertise for victims of violent crimes particularly brain injuries & rape and sexual abuse whom she helps with applications to the Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority.

Debbie Peel joined GLP Bury in March 2008 as Practice Manager. Debbie’s role is Management and HR within the firms. She also has involvement with ensuring compliance with Lexcel, the Practice Management Standard Award, an accreditation which was originally attained in 2002 and has been achieved annually ever since.

Trainee Solicitor – Bury Practice
Megan is a Trainee Solicitor who handles predominantly Criminal Injury Claims. She has over 3 years experience in Criminal Injuries Compensation Claims, started with GLP as a paralegal assisting with the claims to now progressing to running the claims and working with victims of violent crimes securing damages awards from the CICA.
Alex Mccrakan
Solicitor – Bury Practice
Alex is a Solicitor in our Dispute Resolution Team. Alex joined GLP in 2022 as a Paralegal, predominantly handling Housing Disrepair matters. Since commencing his period of recognised training in May 2023, he has gained a broad range of both contentious and non-contentious experience, assisting in Company restructures and managing property, employment, probate, corporate and debt disputes.

Charlie is a Paralegal working in the Injury team. She handles low value cases for victims of violent crimes to secure awards from the Criminal Injury Compensation Authority. She also assists the Solicitors within the injury team.

Mackenzie is a Paralegal working in the Injury Team. She joined GLP in 2021 and works predominantly with victims of violent crimes, assisting on their cases to secure compensation awards from the Criminal Injury Compensation Authority.

Paralegal – Bury Practice
Zoe Parker is a Paralegal at GLP Solicitors, specialising in private client matters. She provides advice on estate planning, wills, trusts, and inheritance issues. She also assists with complex Court of Protection applications, supporting and safeguarding the interests of vulnerable individuals.

With her 20 years’ experience of working at GLP Solicitors in Civil Litigation and more recently Commercial matters, Margaret brings a commendable level of capability and organisational structure to her role as Commercial Departmental Assistant.
Tony Eaton
Claims Investigator
Tony joined GLP in May 2000. His primary role is to gather and present evidence to assist Fee Earners in presenting their cases. Being an “in house” investigator means that he is in direct contact with all of the Fee Earners, as well as having ready access to each client’s file.
Dylan Williamson
Archivist
Dylan joined GLP in November 2021 and works as a file archivist. His main role is to assist Fee Earners by scanning and retrieving files for them, ensuring the system is easily accessible. Dylan has helped to complete the conversion of paper files into digital versions, thereby creating a fully electronic archiving system. He now also helps out in different departments whenever necessary; such as assisting with the admin team, accounts, or doing odd-jobs around the building that are needed.
Cesar Lacherre
Digital Marketing Assistant
Cesar joined GLP in October 2023 as our Digital Marketing Assistant. He ensures that our digital platforms are up-to-date and our brand is consistent across our communication channels.
