About

The GLP Solicitors Pendlebury office occupies premises built in 1890 and was once known as the Gladstone Liberal Club. The GLP legal practice acquired the property in 1983.

Specialising in Personal Injury claims, Residential Conveyancing, Family Law and Children matters, Commercial Leases, Wills and Probate together with Powers of Attorney,  this office has developed a reputation for providing a high quality, personal service to all our clients wherever they are based.

By maximising the use of cutting edge technology, the firm successfully ensures that case files are managed effectively and efficiently – thus reducing costs.

In addition, a Free Legal Clinic is offered at the office on a Monday evening for members of the public to attend and discuss their legal problems without incurring any charges.

Furthermore free consultations are available to potential new clients at any time.  In certain circumstances, appointments can be made for visits to clients at their home, work or in hospital.

Managing Partner, Sheldon Fagelman, is keen to ensure that we have as much face to face contact with our clients as possible to enhance our working relationship and build up trust and confidence.

GLP Solicitors (Pendlebury) is an independent practice, authorised and regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA NO: 073881).  The firm’s Professional Indemnity Policy is with AXIS Specialty Europe SE.

Since 2002, GLP Solicitors (Pendlebury) has held the ‘Lexcel’ accreditation, the Law Society’s legal practice quality mark for excellence in legal practice management and excellence in client care.

The firm also maintains the Law Society’s Conveyancing Quality Standard (CQS) and is a ‘Specialist Quality Mark Holder’ of the Legal Aid Agency.

To Metrolink Station at Bury.  The office is opposite the station.

From Manchester, approach down the A56 through Prestwich, passing over M60 (Junction 17) and into Bury.

From the M60, take Junction 17 and follow signs to Bury Town Centre.

From the M66, take Junction 2 and follow signs to Bury Town Centre.

PRICE TRANSPARENCY

Following a year-long investigation by the Competition and Markets Authority in 2016, all solicitors are now required by the Solicitors Regulation Authority to display on their website a range of prices for a specific number of work-types, including residential conveyancing, probate and estate administration.  This is intended to allow consumers of legal services (‘clients’) to make more informed decisions as to the provider of their legal services.

As with conveyancing, no two probates are the same and, whilst the information contained in the papers attached is representative of our legal fees, we recommend that you speak to the office to obtain an appropriate quote for your specific matter, be it a residential property sale, a purchase, a sale and purchase or a mortgage/re-mortgage enquiry.
