About

The Manchester practice was formerly known as ‘Pfeffer & Co’, founded in 1970 in St. Ann’s Square, central Manchester.

Today, it is the principal commercial and corporate client firm within the GLP Solicitors organisation, specialising in small to medium sized companies and businesses, but with a number of household names within its portfolio.

Employment law advice, like the debt advice department, is of growing interest in the present economic climate and complements the commercial practice.

The firm also has a long-established personal injury department.

GLP Solicitors (Manchester), which became an LLP on 1st June 2009, is an independent practice, authorised and regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority.

[GLP (Manchester) LLP is registered as an LLP in England & Wales with the Partnership No: OC341970, and has the SRA ID: 511445].  The firm’s Professional Indemnity Policy is with AXIS Specialty Europe SE.

“The overall standard of service provided was excellent. I was kept informed of progress throughout, without having to ask and that impressed me. As did the standard of service provided by GLP whose advice, skill and professionalism clearly made all the difference to my claim. It is with sincere gratitude that I thank all concerned”

PRICE TRANSPARENCY

Following a year-long investigation by the Competition and Markets Authority in 2016, all solicitors are now required by the Solicitors Regulation Authority to display on their website a range of prices for a specific number of work-types, including probate and estate administration.   This is intended to allow consumers of legal services (‘clients’) to make more informed decisions as to the provider of their legal services.

No two probates are the same and, whilst the information contained in the papers attached is representative of our legal fees, we recommend that you speak to the office to obtain an appropriate quote for your specific matter, be it a probate, the administration of a person’s estate, or the creation or review of your will.
